Marriage: Solis-Egbert

Hannah Solis and Mark Egbert were united in marriage on March 13, 2010, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Sierra Vista, Ariz.

Father Victor Sarrazin performed the ceremony.

The maiden of honor was Leah Solis. 

Brides maids were Rachel Solis, Angelica Solis, Cami Clem, Bailey Vincent and Vanessa Ramierz.

The best man was Emilio Galindo. 

Groom’s attendants were Austin Egbert, Ronnie Egbert, Braden Vincent, Anthony Solis and Chris Ayoub.

The flower girls were Jasmine Solis and Ashley Mills. The ring bearer was Gage Egbert.

The matron of honor was Quinn Berry.

Here comes big government with its proverbial iron fist crushing the will of cities and towns with a new law requiring these local municipalities to align their election schedules with the state.

Henceforth — comes the word from Phoenix — all elections not “special,” recall or for special taxing districts, will be conducted in August and November.

But is this such a bad idea, just because it is a decree from state government to Arizona’s cities and towns?

Monument fire caused by humans

While officially the investigation into last year’s Monument Fire is “closed-unsolved,” there is no doubt it was human-caused. What is not known is whether it was accidentally started, or was lit as a diversion for criminal activities involving drug or people smuggling, Coronado National Forest spokeswoman Heidi Schewel said.

We know it was human-caused, there was no lightning in the area,” Schewel said during a telephone interview with the Herald/Review Monday.

Border Animal Rescue supports local pets




Border Animal Rescue (BAR) is a non-profit, all-volunteer group fully supported by donations from the community. BAR is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of homeless and unwanted dogs and cats into responsible and loving forever homes.   

We do not have a physical facility, so all of our animals live in foster homes where they receive personal care, attention, and love until they are adopted. All pets are spayed or neutered and receive appropriate shots.
