Collision in Sierra Vista sends one to hospital

One woman was transported to the Sierra Vista Regional Health Center Friday morning following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Coronado Drive and Fry Boulevard.

Brenna Quebbemann, 76, suffered from abrasions typical with airbag deployment, said Tracy Grady, public information officer for the Sierra Vista Police Department.

The Honda sedan driven by Quebbemann was traveling south on Coronado crossing Fry while a second vehicle, a Ford pick-up truck, was traveling north on Coronado and turning west onto Fry when the collision occurred, Grady said.

SIERRA VISTA — A  nearly head-on collision that occurred at about 4 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Moson Road and Canada Drive resulted in the injury of a 10-year-old boy and a 71-year-old man.

According to Lt. Mark Genz of the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, a tan sedan heading north along Moson Road being driven by the 71-year-old man attempted to make a left turn onto Canada Drive and collided with another tan sedan headed south.

SIERRA VISTA — Traffic on Highway 92 near the mall was delayed for about an hour Tuesday after a two-vehicle collision left one injured.

Mary Jane Gourley, 49, was cited with driving under the influence when, at about 11:24 a.m., the Ford Ranger pickup she was driving south on Highway 92 ran a red light at Calle Mercancia, hitting a Toyota Sequoia, said Tracy Grady, public information officer for the Sierra Vista Police Department.
