Bisbee Blues Fest date announced

BISBEE — A date of Sept. 25 has been set for this year’s Bisbee Blues Festival. The Bisbee City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to allow Cherry Creek Radio to produce the sixth annual festival at the historic Warren Ballpark. The all-day blues concert moved to the Warren Ballpark in 2009 after outgrowing its previous venue in the Bisbee City Park.     Community Development Director John Charley stated the festival’s “economic impact on the city is enormous.”

HERALD/REVIEW

The seniors beat the previous record, which was set last year, by about $2 million.

Yet the truly remarkable news is that they did it without any of the large — about three quarter million dollar — military academy appointments, Principal John Schreur said. “It’s pretty impressive to me.”
